Quit over-washing the hair
When exposed to too much shampoo, the coarse hair will only suffer more. Washing the hair over and over will eventually strip away the natural healthy coating of the hair.
So, it is recommended to not over-wash your hair. Limit the hair wash to twice or thrice a week and always condition your hair.
Heat-drying, go easy
The electronic hair dryers may seem like a modern convenience but they would cause severe damage to your hair. Using excessive heat is responsible for causing devastating damage to the hair. Let the hair dry naturally. Also, it will prevent your air from becoming frizzy.
Also, if you want to use hair dryer, you should keep it on low heat setting.
Stop using the comb
Abandon the brushes and combs. While you may be confused on how stopping the use of comb is good for hair, actually when you comb the hair regularly- it will contribute to limp strands.
Over time, the continuous use can wear out your follicles. It will lead to premature thinness of the hair. So, experts recommend you to fluff your hair using fingertips instead.
Drying your hair wrong can be the biggest reason of damage to men’s hair. When the hair is wet, it is highly susceptible to damage. So, when you rub the hair with a towel, it can become tangled and frizzy.
To properly towel dry, shake out the excess water and stroke your hair in the direction it grows, rather than rubbing the hair with the towel.
The only real way to remove damaged hair is to cut off the damaged section, keeping the hair trimmed regularly will eliminate split ends.
Even if you are growing your hair out, it is important to get the hair trimmed about every six weeks. But, make sure to tell your barber or stylist that you only want to eliminate the damaged hair.
